Venus as a Virgin: Lessons of Virgo the Virgin

face-848540_640

In the meandering way that my intuitive mind works I have become awash in distinctly dreamy themes of the Lady of Love in wearing her fur coat of self-empowerment. The dreaminess could be due to Neptune dancing through the sign of Venus’ exaltation Pisces; forming an opposition that has all of our romances and relationships awash in love and fantasies.

Virgo the Virgin conjures up images of purity, chastity, erotic naïveté’, and self-restraint. This image is light-years away from the truth of this self-empowered sign. With sexy Venus shimmying its way through expect all preconceptions to be shattered beyond recognition. The Virgin in fact is an incredibly sexy and scorching god/dess/all-gendered being.

The TWIT (The Western Intellectual Tradition) another moniker for our culture has misappropriated the term Virgin and construed it to mean a young, often female person who has not known the joys of the flesh. This is mistaken, the Virgin in fact meant a person who is often unmarried and in full-possession of themselves. The virgin is complete unto themselves and does not barter their sexuality to anyone they decide their destiny and have sexual license and freedom because they are fully possessed of their potency and do not answer to anyone. They find their foundations in the bedrock of their inner world; that place of empowerment where our sexuality, creativity and authentic spirituality unfold and revel into the full bloom of our luminous divinity. This is the true meaning of the word virgin.

Venus is wearing the fur coat of Self-possession, a powerful place for Venus to be, Venus is complete unto itself here and will be lending her graces to this most powerful sign for a perfect moment of shine. This is an excellent time to drop down and open into the deepest recesses of your personal power and to truly embrace and come into your most authentic expression of who you are at core.  Stepping into your power requires you get a read on where you may be working out these themes in your own life get your free natal chart by visiting: www.astro.com and choosing the natal chart section. Once you have figured that out you are ready to embrace the soft and sexy energies of Venus in Virgo and let them go to work in your life! Let this be your mantra for the next period of your sexual-spiritual evolution:

“Others are not the source of my happiness, erotic power, or fulfillment they are enhancements to my existing exaltation. Satisfaction is first a ground state and then expressed out into the world.”

Once you are thoroughly bathed in your truest essence it is wise to take a nod from our very fashionable Venus and dress to the nines, and walk down that street with your sauciest swagger! There is nothing that Venus as a virgin likes more than sexy self-confidence, at any age, in any body!

Venusian Side Note: On July 29th Venus will come into alignment at 7 degrees of the sign of the Virgin forming an Earth trine with the Moon at 8 degrees Taurus, and Pluto at 9 degrees Capricorn. This will intersect with the water trine we have had going on since June, forming a rare a beautiful alignment known as a Grand Sextile! For more on that check out:
